Eligibility Criteria

M.Sc Degree in Nursing: B.Sc Nursing /B.Sc (Honors) in Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai or any other University accepted as equivalent there to with minimum of 55% aggregate marks

Male candidates who do not possess Midwifery registration certificate are not eligible to apply for M.Sc (N) - Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing and Community Health Nursing irrespective of the experience in the area
Minimum one year of experience in a Hospital or in a College or in School of Nursing or in Community Health Program from the date of registration in the State Nursing Council after B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc (Honors) in Nursing (or) after/prior to Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Program: Passed Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary/Intermediate/10+2/an equivalent exam recognized by the University/10+1 in or before 1986

Passed the qualification of Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery or alternate course

Permanent registration certificate with the State Registration Council for Nursing and Midwifery/alternate course approved by Indian Nursing Council

A certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical officer

Fellowship in Nursing: Passed the qualification of B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc (Honors) in Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Degree of the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai or any other University accepted as equivalent there to

Minimum one year of work experience as on 01st July 2016 in any clinical area in the hospital or in the community; a certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer

Post Basic Diploma in Nursing: Passed the qualification of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course/B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc (Hons) in Nursing/Post Basic Nursing

Permanent Registration certificate from the State Nursing Council for Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course

Selection Process

Candidates who have applied for M.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing/Fellowship in Nursing/Post Basic Diploma in Nursing will appear for Step-I Computer Based Test (CBT)

The short listed candidates called for Step-II of the Selection process (Medical Checkup and Assessment of Knowledge and Skills/Personal Interview) will be published in the website on 29th January 2016 and also intimated to individuals by post

Selection of candidates to any particular programme is based on the performance in the Step-I and Step-II of the Selection Process

Weightage will be given to candidates

- sponsored by eligible sponsoring bodies of the CMC Vellore Association (Annexure I)
- best outgoing students in the Undergraduate Nursing programmes (Annexure IV)
- served in areas of need (Annexure V)

All such claims need to be supported by relevant certificates

Application forms can be accessed only online through the Christian Medical College website www.admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from 05th October 2015

Duly filled application forms must be submitted online with the basic administrative fee and registration fee for each speciality for the course applied before 12 midnight on 26th November 2015

(b) PB B.Sc Nursing: Admin. Fee - Rs.750/- ($ 100), Registration Fee - Rs.500/- ($ 75)
(c) PB Diploma in Nursing: Admin. Fee - Rs.400/- ($ 60), Registration Fee - Rs.350/- ($ 60)
